During the day…

I love Red Bull and pretty much any energy drink. Monster, Full Throttle, Caballo Negro all good to me. Oh, you don’t know Caballo Negro? That’s because I also attempt to try every obscure energy drink I can find. This has led me to try Drank, the anti-energy drink, which encourages you to “Slow your roll.”

..and everything else

• In the Spring of 2006, I successfully played every intramural sport I was eligible for while working at Rice University—including taking a mad beating in a badminton league.
• I can’t stand seafood despite my overwhelming desire to want to like it; the literal smell of it can make me vomit. I was once tricked into going to McCormick and Schmicks before a homecoming dance in high school and ended up spending the whole in the bathroom while my date sat at the table with no one she knew.
• I have only won one softball championship.
• My role models are Vince Young (the 2005 version), LeBron James, and Tiger Woods. This is not because of their personalities or decisions off the playing field, but rather to strive to be the absolute best at something.
• Streaks and records are always nice—I’m referring here to breaking the home run record or total number of NBA championships or total number of majors won, etc.—but the one record that will never be broken is Nolan Ryan’s seven career no-hitters. I only wish he did it while he was playing in an Astros unifrom.
