NFL season predictions
Today marks the start of the NFL season, so I figure it’s time for some solid predictions. I want to note that these aren’t supposed to be funny-ha-ha or specifically designed to elicit a response. These are truly what I believe will happen in the upcoming season.
Ten (Not so/Maybe) Bold Predictions
If you’re feeling up to it, make this a truth or lies: In the comments section, number these statements and put whether it’s truth or lies and a quick reason why.
- Peyton Manning and Tom Brady will start every game of the regular season.
- Brett Favre will win 10 games with the New York Jets.
- The Houston Texans will not make the playoffs.
- Mario Williams will have more than 15 sacks.
- The Cleveland Browns will win less than 10 games this season.
- Jacksonville beats New England in the AFC Championship game to go to the Super Bowl.
- LaDainian Tomlinson will take back the number one fantasy football player spot from Tom Brady or Randy Moss.
- The AFC South will be the hardest division in football. The NFC East is second.
- Vince Young will for the first time in his career throw more TDs than INTs.
- T.J. Houshmandzadeh is the new man in town: He’ll catch more TDs than Chad Ocho Cinco this year.

I totally think the “bingles” will win, but this decision is based solely on the cuteness of their outfits.
1. Peyton Manning and Tom Brady will start every game of the regular season. - I say false. Both with nagging injuries from preseason, I say Brady misses a start. Manning good for all 16. Look for Brady to maybe miss a start later in the year.
2. Brett Favre will win 10 games with the New York Jets. False. Nine wins at most. No running game. Though they do get to play the Dolphins and Bills twice each.
3. The Houston Texans will not make the playoffs. True. They will be 9-6, but will lose the second wild card spot to Denver. Jax gets the other.
4. Mario Williams will have more than 15 sacks. False. 15 is a ton. He will see constant double teams.
5. The Cleveland Browns will win less than 10 games this season. True. A good offense but not enough defense. Lack the toughness to play consistently against Pitt and Baltimore
6. Jacksonville beats New England in the AFC Championship game to go to the Super Bowl. False. Jax beats Indy. New England is getting old.
7. LaDainian Tomlinson will take back the number one fantasy football player spot from Tom Brady or Randy Moss. False. I don’t know who it will be, but the pre ranked number one hasn’t finished number one in a while. He’ll be great, but look for someone to blow up out of no where.
8. The AFC South will be the hardest division in football. The NFC East is second. True! NFC East is second, but they’re not as tough of teams. Look for two eleven win teams. Indy will probably 12, 13, or 14.
9. Vince Young will for the first time in his career throw more TDs than INTs. False. He’s getting worse. The only way this happens is if he throws way less.
10. T.J. Houshmandzadeh is the new man in town: He’ll catch more TDs than Chad Ocho Cinco this year. True. But this is no surprise. Housh has caught more than Ocho Cinco the past two years. The true test will be if Housh goes for more yards.
St. Louis is #1. What’s wrong with you?
i predict tom brady will not play more than 1 qtr this season :)
this is why i don’t gamble
I think that 1)The doors are wide open for Dallas to seize the ring(granted no major injuries occur) and B)The team from the AFC that will be in the Super Bowl are the Steelers. Simply put, I just like what they’re doing over there. Solid D and a great O….I like the Steelers and Cowboys in the Super Bowl with Dallas winning a tight one.
Danny. You are totally correct. Steelers vs. Cowboys is what it’s going to be. You need not look less than one scroll of the mouse up on this page to know all of my predictions went out the window after the first two weeks of play.
