Michael Phelps does it, why can’t I?
12,000 calories. That’s ridiculous. It’s how many Michael Phelps has to eat in a day. Check out his body in that picture. If I told someone I was on a 12,000 calorie diet (that did not include alcohol), they’d literally think I was crazy. I suppose when you’re swimming 50 miles a day, you’re going to have to have something in your body to burn. Here’s his opinion on diets:
IGN Sports: What about your diet? Are you always eating super healthy?
Michael Phelps: I eat pretty much whatever I want. I don’t have a strict diet. It’s all about cramming in as many calories into my system as I possibly can. To be honest with you, I have a tough time keeping weight on.
IGN Sports: What about fast food?
Michael Phelps: Bring it on!
And he also takes a multi-vitamin. And has never lifted a weight a single day in his life. All from the water.

- Three fried-egg sandwiches
- Omelet
- A bowl of grits
- Three slices of French toast
- Three chocolate chip pancakes
- Two cups of coffee
I would throw up everywhere. I don’t think I eat that in a day. Actually, I’m positive about it.
You know what the best part is, though? He drinks energy drinks throughout the day. Coffee and energy drinks. Because they’re sooooo baaaaad for you.

Just wait until he’s NOT swimming 50 miles a day. And when he’s NOT 23 years old anymore.
I have a severe crush on Michael Phelps. And I want to go swimming.
