Tracy McGrady, LeBron James, Tiger Woods: The best players, the best logos
For a long time I’ve been convinced that Nike comes up—and, in some ways, defines—the sports apparel world. Just look at the Oregon Ducks, a Nike test school. They always get the best uniforms, even though some would highly disagree with me (it’s the second paragraph in the entry).
Either way, when Nike wanted to brand Tiger Woods and LeBron James, they managed to come up with the coolest way to incorporate their initials (and in James’ case, his jersey number) into a logo. And once T-Mac got sponsored by Adidas, they did the same thing with his initials and jersey number.
Anyway, just because I like them a lot, I wanted to point them out, and share them with you all:
LeBron James ‘LB23′
The ‘B’ is also the ‘3′. Also note the crown on bottom left:

The reason the Oregon Ducks have the best uniforms is due to the fact that Nikes CEO Phil Knight is an Oregon Alumni.
I think that Uni Watch’s slogan should be “The obsessive observance of athletics aesthetics.” Then you get the double alliteration. I know “observance” isn’t exactly the same as “study,” but it sounds cooler.
